MINSK, 29 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms its plans to sign the visa facilitation agreement with the EU in the near future, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said at a briefing, BelTA has learned.
When asked about the recent media reports regarding the postponement of the deadline to sign the readmission and visa facilitation agreements between Belarus and the European Union from autumn 2019 to early 2020, Anatoly Glaz said: “As has been stated repeatedly, we, together with our European partners, are moving towards the signing of the visa facilitation and readmission agreements. The procedures, necessary to sign the agreements, have not been completed yet. At the same time we believe that our plans will be fulfilled in the foreseeable future.”
