Belarus' MFA exchanges views on situation with foreign partners

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs oOleg Kravchenko had a telephone conversation with State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Audun Halvorsen, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties exchanged views on the current situation after the presidential election in Belarus, prospects for further interaction in bilateral and multilateral formats. The deputy minister stressed the importance of evolutionary development of the country based on compliance with the rule of law and without any intervention of external forces.

In recent days, Oleg Kravchenko, had telephone conversations and personal meetings with U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker, Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia at the Germay Federal Foreign Office Michael Siebert, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent, and ambassadors of several European states.

The parties shared views on the current situation in Belarus, openly discussed existing disagreements, and the state of bilateral relations and prospects for interaction.
