Belarus, Mexico to expand bilateral relations

MOSCOW, 18 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Mexico are determined to expand the legal framework of bilateral relations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia following the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to Russia Norma Pensado Moreno in Moscow on 18 August.

“The parties talked over the issues related to the development of the Belarusian-Mexican cooperation in the political, trade and economic areas, the ways to intensify the ministerial dialogue and inter-parliamentary cooperation, expand the legal framework of the bilateral relations,” the press service said.

The diplomatic relations between Belarus and Mexico were established in January 1992. in 2016 the bilateral trade totaled $26.4 million.
