MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Latvia Vasily Markovich met with Under-Secretary of State of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Political Director Janis Mazeiks on 18 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The parties discussed issues of Belarusian-Latvian cooperation, the interaction between Belarus and the European Union. “The parties confirmed the interest in bolstering mutually beneficial political and economic ties and also relations in other avenues. The parties stressed the importance of good neighborly and partner relations between the two countries based on trust and respect for each other's interests,” the press service noted.
