MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus-Germany cooperation prospects were discussed by Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei at a meeting with members of the delegation of the German-Belarusian parliamentary group of the Bundestag led by Chairman Mark Hauptmann, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed state and prospects of the Belarusian-German cooperation with the focus on its parliamentary dimension, Belarus-EU cooperation and the most important issues on the international agenda. The parties reaffirmed mutual interest in further expansion of bilateral ties in all the areas and outlined the appropriate steps, including the launch of the Belarus-Germany Strategic Consultative Group that will also include Mark Hauptmann,” the ministry said.
The German parliamentary delegation is on a visit to Belarus at the invitation of Andrei Savinykh, the chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly.
