Belarus, EU to hold fifth round of bilateral Human Rights Dialogue in Minsk 17 July

MINSK, 13 July (BelTA) - The European Union and the Republic of Belarus will hold the fifth round of the bilateral Human Rights Dialogue in Minsk on 17 July, BelTA learned from the EU Delegation to Belarus.

The EU delegation will be led by Dirk Schuebel, Head of Division for Bilateral Relations with the Eastern Partnership Countries of the European External Action Service. The Belarusian delegation will be led by Oleg Kravchenko, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. It will include representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries concerned. Representatives of the Belarusian civil society and non-governmental organizations will also take part in the talks.

The parties will address a broad range of issues related to human rights and democracy in both Belarus and the EU and discuss cooperation in promoting human rights in international fora, including using the mechanisms of the United Nations.
