
MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Ethiopia intend to sign agreements on cooperation in education and taxation, visa matters, and on a joint committee on trade and economic cooperation. The agreements were in focus of a meeting between Belarus Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Alemayehu Tegenu on 12 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties considered matters of bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, and other areas and agreed to take additional measures to boost trade between the two countries. Andrei Dapkiunas pointed out that it is important to prepare several agreements for signing, including those on education, taxation, visa matters, and the agreement to set up a joint committee on trade and economic cooperation as soon as possible.
The parties stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation in education, facilitating the exchange of visits between government agencies, and cultivating direct relations between the business communities of Belarus and Ethiopia.
