
MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia's Chuvashia have identified promising avenues of cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus.
A meeting of the working group for cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Chuvashia was held via video link at the Communications and Informatization Ministry. The Belarusian delegation was chaired by Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan, the Chuvash side was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Economic Development and Property Relations Dmitry Krasnov.
The parties reviewed the results of the efforts in 2022 to expand cooperation in science, technology, trade, economy and culture, and thrashed out plans to intensify cooperation in the future.
“Representatives of the government and the business community held a constructive dialogue and exchanged views on the most promising areas of cooperation, and discussed the action plan to implement the 2023-2025 cooperation agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Chuvashia and the government of Belarus in trade and economy, science, technology and social and cultural matters,” the Communications and Informatization Ministry noted.
Since 2020, the communications and informatization minister of Belarus has been responsible for promoting Belarus' interests in Chuvashia and intensifying bilateral relations. Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan is co-chair of the working group for cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Chuvashia.
