MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) - Belarus and China are interested in continuing highest-level visits, Belarus' Ambassador to China Yuri Senko said as he commented on the outcome of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's state visit to China, BelTA has learned.
“We, as a sovereign independent nation, are building relations with China in the interests of our two countries, not to please anyone, not against anyone, and it was evident in every minute, every second of the conversation between our leaders,” said Yuri Senko. “Indeed, the talks were long in terms of protocol, but at the same time none of the parties expressed any regrets that the conversations took longer. Our leaders have agreed to hold meetings in the near future. There was an invitation to Belarus, and the People's Republic of China, represented by the president, invited our president to visit China in the near future,” he added.
“I am convinced that these meetings will continue and will be sound and filled with content. I am convinced that they will be no less effective in the future,” the ambassador added.
