Belarus' CEC invited to observe snap parliamentary elections in Moldova

MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus has been invited to observe the snap parliamentary elections in Moldova, CEC Chairperson Lidia Yermoshina told the media at BelTA's press center on 14 August.

“The Central Election Commission received an invitation to take part in the observation of the snap parliamentary elections in Moldova and also the elections to the local councils. The recent elections in Moldova were held on 24 February (I took part in their observation). The next ones have been scheduled for October, as the parliament failed to elect the speaker,” Lidia Yermoshina said.

The CEC also received an invitation to attend a conference on new information technology and elections to the Moscow City Duma, which is due to take place in Moscow on 6 September. “On 8 September I will have a chance to observe this election process as well,” the CEC head added.
