Belarus, Australia discuss ways to step up cooperation

MOSCOW, 11 November (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Vladimir Semashko met with Australian Ambassador to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Graeme Meehan to review the Belarusian-Australian cooperation in Moscow on 11 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed ways to buoy up bilateral political, trade and economic relations and also the cooperation within the framework of international organizations,” the embassy noted.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Australia were established on 9 January 1992. In January-September 2019 the bilateral trade amounted to $14.3 million.
