Belarus ambassador presents credentials to Slovenia president

MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Austria and concurrently to Slovenia Alena Kupchyna has presented credentials to Slovenia President Borut Pahor, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Austria.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and development prospects of Belarus-Slovenia relations and important issues on the regional and international agenda.

BelTA reported earlier that Ambassador of Belarus to Austria, Belarus' Permanent Representative to international organizations in Vienna Alena Kupchyna was also appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Slovenia and Belarus' Permanent Representative to the OSCE in February 2019.

Priority areas of Belarus-Slovenia cooperation include energy and construction industries, mechanical engineering, agriculture, telecommunications, and tourism. Over ten companies with Slovenian investment operate in Belarus. The country has also registered offices of Slovenian companies working in such areas as pharmacy, construction, engineering, and telecommunications.
