Balanced nature of Belarus-Hungary interaction emphasized

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Hungary shape a balanced policy of interaction. Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik mentioned it in front of reporters after a session of the Belarus-Hungary intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Budapest on 12 April, BelTA has learned. Sergei Aleinik is the commission's co-chairman.

Sergei Aleinik said: “The leadership of our countries does not chase after PR. We prefer honesty in front of our citizens and persistent work for the sake of sustainable development of the states and for the benefit of our nations.”

The official also explained: “It is with this in mind that we've held a regular, eleventh session of the commission, as a result of which an entire range of concrete agreements was reached. On the eve of the session meetings of the working groups on agriculture, civil engineering, and tourism took place. Concrete steps meant to invigorate interaction were determined. It is with this scrupulous labor that we are trying to add a bit of concrete practical steps to our bilateral agenda.”

The Belarusian minister of foreign affairs noted that agriculture, healthcare, pharmaceutics, and education represent the most important forms of cooperation in need of further development.

Sergei Aleinik said that the day before he had met with the Hungarian agriculture minister and a large number of matters had been discussed. The matters were related to the advancement of versatile cooperation in agriculture and ways to ensure food security of Belarus and Russia.
