MOSCOW, 26 December (BelTA) – Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi has met with recently appointed Ambassador of Mexico to the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Eduardo Villegas Megias, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
“The Belarusian ambassador congratulated the Mexican counterpart on his appointment and stated Belarus' intention to strengthen relations with his country in all areas,” the press service said.
The parties discussed the ways to intensify political contacts and praised the constructive development of the dialogue through the relevant friendship groups in the parliaments of Belarus and Mexico.
“The parties paid special attention to the issues of expansion of the mutually beneficial economic relations and emphasized the significant potential in bilateral trade. The ambassadors confirmed their intention to promote cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Mexico, and agreed to contribute to further development of the legal framework of bilateral relations, and to intensify their efforts for the development of cultural and educational exchanges,” stated the diplomatic mission.
“Dmitry Krutoi highly appreciated the established interaction between the diplomatic missions of our countries in Moscow and welcomed the participation of the Mexican counterparts in the events held at the venue of the Business and Cultural Center of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia. The ambassadors of Belarus and Mexico agreed to maintain contacts in order to promote the whole range of issues on the bilateral agenda,” the press service added.
