MINSK, 30 December (BelTA) - Sudan is interested in Belarus' experience in agricultural development, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Sudan to the Republic of Belarus Mohammed Omer Musa Ali said during a meeting with Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova, BelTA reports.

"I am very glad that I was posted as an ambassador to the Republic of Belarus. Sudan is an old reliable friend of Belarus. We must further develop our relations. We immediately began to work with our colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and prepare roadmaps. Our relations are in good shape. Therefore we had many meetings with the country's leadership at once," Ambassador Mohammed Omer Musa Ali noted.

The ambassador noted that agriculture and manufacturing industry are well-developed in Belarus. "Therefore, we should learn from the experience of Belarusian partners in this area. We have the opportunity for many joint projects. Sudan is a large agrarian country that needs new technologies," he stressed.

"We know about Western sanctions against Belarus. We, too, have suffered greatly from these sanctions over the years. We must work together to counter them. It is especially important that we have the support of the leadership of our countries, so we must join our efforts," Ambassador Mohammed Omer Musa Ali added.
