
MOSCOW, 7 December (BelTA) – Belarus has been successfully developing cooperation with Russian regions. Over 70 delegations of Russian regions visited Belarus in 2022, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi said at the media forum “Belarus-Russia: Equal Union, Common History, Shared Future” timed to the 23rd anniversary of the Union State Treaty, BelTA has learned.
“The countries have significantly intensified interregional cooperation. This year more than 70 Russian delegations of various levels have visited Belarus. This is a record-high number in the history of our relations. The number of return visits was as many,” said Dmitry Krutoi.
“We have an annual Forum of Regions, which has become a landmark event for both the countries. Meetings of Russian governors with President Aleksandr Lukashenko, governmental visits, the system of assigning high officials to Belarusian-Russian working groups and business councils have contributed to the growth of trade between our countries, the development of humanitarian and cultural relations,” the ambassador said.
