
MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – The state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to China will give an impetus to Belarus-China cooperation in all areas and will open up new opportunities to expand bilateral relations, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said in an interview with BelTA in the run-up to the state visit of the highest-level Belarusian delegation to Beijing.
“Belarusian head of state Aleksandr Lukashenko will pay a state visit to Beijing on 28 February- 2 March at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. Aleksandr Lukashenko will hold friendly meetings and talks with the Chinese leadership,” the diplomat said.
The ambassador added: “There will be an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral cooperation in various fields and on the international and regional agenda. A number of cooperation documents will be signed in areas such as politics, economy, trade, finance, manufacturing, agriculture, science and technology, sports, tourism, healthcare, interregional cooperation, mass media, etc.”
