MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – China resolutely opposes the interference of external forces in internal affairs of Belarus, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming told BelTA following his meeting with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 24 September.
"China has always respected the path of development chosen by the Belarusian people in accordance with their national circumstances and firmly supports Belarus' efforts to ensure national independence, sovereignty, security and development," Ambassador Cui Qiming said.
The ambassador also continued: "We believe that under Aleksandr Lukashenko's leadership Belarus will restore political stability and social accord."
China is ready to continue to deepen the Belarusian-Chinese relations of trust-based comprehensive strategic partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation, to strengthen bilateral ties in various fields for the benefit of the two countries and peoples, Ambassador Cui Qiming said.
