
MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - The all-weather and all-round strategic partnership between Belarus and China envisages cooperation in a wide range of areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said in an interview with BelTA in the run-up to the state visit of the highest-level Belarusian delegation to Beijing.
“In September 2022, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met in Samarkand and jointly decided to raise the level of China-Belarus relations to an all-weather and all-round strategic partnership, which made a historic leap in cooperation,” the diplomat recalled.
The areas of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation include politics, economy and trade, agriculture, humanitarian cooperation, science and technology, defense, justice, law enforcement, security, disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency rescue operations, environmental protection, climate change mitigation and adaptation, transport, customs, interregional contacts.
“This represents a comprehensive roadmap of the Chinese-Belarusian cooperation in various fields, and also indicates the ways for further development of bilateral contacts,” Xie Xianyong said.
