Ambassador: Belarus-Azerbaijan cooperation keeps pace

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - Belarus and Azerbaijan have maintained the level and pace of bilateral cooperation and intensified cooperation in a number of areas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov said in an interview with the daily newspaper Novoye Vremya, BelTA has learned.

"I consider this year difficult yet fruitful and promising for the Belarus-Azerbaijan relations. We have maintained the level and pace of bilateral cooperation and intensified cooperation in a number of areas," the diplomat emphasized, summing up the results of the outgoing year.

In his opinion, the working visit of Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko to Azerbaijan in May 2022 was a significant contribution to bilateral cooperation.

"Negotiations with Prime Minister Ali Asadov were held in an atmosphere of sincerity, trust and friendship and marked a new milestone in mutually beneficial dialogue. The heads of government once again confirmed the level of strategic partnership between the two countries, stressing that the Belarus-Azerbaijan relations can be an example of fruitful cooperation.
