NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) – Strengthening of cooperation between Belarus and China in various fields has served to safeguard the common interests, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong said in an interview with BelTA in the run-up to the state visit of the highest-level Belarusian delegation to Beijing.
"I would like to note that the strengthening of cooperation between China and Belarus in various fields has served to safeguard the common interests of the two countries and to promote the social and economic development of each other. This has also helped to deepen the traditional friendship between the two peoples," the diplomat said.
"China attaches great importance to the development of relations of friendship and cooperation with Belarus and is committed to making joint efforts for the continuous development of bilateral contacts,” the ambassador said.
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is to pay a state visit to the People's Republic of China on 28 February–2 March. The visit will continue the long-standing policy to build relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with the People's Republic of China.
