Competitive performances of the international festival of Orthodox music Kolozhsky Blagovest are held at the Cathedral of the Patronage of the Mother of God in Grodno on 20-21 February. This year the festival features a record number of participating countries as it gathered participants from 11 states. These are 27 choirs from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Serbia, Romania, Uzbekistan. Performing in Grodno for the first time are choirs from Finland, the Netherlands and Estonia. The festival has been organized by the Grodno Orthodox Diocese jointly with the cultural department of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.
