A large-scale project dedicated to the future 100th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was launched in Grodno on 25 September. The idea is to grow a lilac garden of more than 250 bushes by 2045.
The Peace Garden is being created in Kalozha Park in Grodno. The first alley was planted here a few years ago in the run-up to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Grodno decided to extend the good undertaking and gave a start to an bigger project to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
