Novopolotsk is a city in Vitebsk Oblast of Belarus. It is located in the north-western part of Vitebsk Oblast, 110km away from Vitebsk and 250km away from Minsk. The history of the city begand with a resolution adopted by the USSR government in July 1954 to set up Europe's largest petrochemical complex here.
