Personnel of the engineer company of the 38th Independent Air Assault Brigade carried out a controlled explosion of a sand hill in the Sahara site in the army training area Brestsky on 23 April. The operation was organized in order to reduce the cost of levelling the surface of the training area for the sake of setting up target practice ranges later on. The army engineers used a TNT charge as large as 2.3 tonnes.
The army training area Brestsky is getting prepped for various contests of the International Army Games.
