TEHRAN, 2 June (BelTA - IRNA). - Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers have won three gold medals at the Bishkek Ranking Series 2023 tournament that kicked off in Kyrgyzstan on Thursday.
Danyal Sohrabi, Mohammad-Hadi Saravi, and Amin Mirzazadeh won gold, respectively in 67kg, 97kg and 130 kg weights.
Sohrabi got the top medal after defeating his Chinese rival in the final 8-2.
Saravi beat his Chinese competitor in the final as well, winning 3-1, while Mirzazadeh defeated his Cuban rival 2-1.
The first day of the tournament also saw two bronze medals gained by the Iranian athletes.
Mehdi Mohsenezhad beat his rival from the host country of Kyrgyzstan 8-0 in the third-place playoff, while Iman Mohammadi beat his Chinese rival 6-0.
