Political irresponsibility leads to economic chaos and creates refugees, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with the PACE delegation whose is in Belarus on a pre-electoral visit, BelTA has learned.
"It is crucial that political competition and, in general, the election campaign should be conducted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, in a constructive manner. It is important to have public order, peace, and accord during this time. Because the political irresponsibility manifested by individual countries, including our neighbors ... We see what it leads to: economic chaos. It creates refugees,” the Chairman of the House of Representatives said.
Vladimir Andreichenko stressed that in such a situation the whole country suffers.
The Speaker also stressed that the Belarusian Parliament is interested in promoting dialogue with PACE. "We are interested in the normalization of relations with the EU, the Council of Europe, and PACE. Of course, we have different views on certain issues but, nevertheless, we need to move forward," he said.
