The international agenda will be reshaped following Donald Trump's victory in the presidential elections in the United States, Sergei Musiyenko, Head of EcooM Analytical Center, told BelTA.
“We should expect the international relations to change for the better, the international agenda to be reshaped. We can make such a conclusion based on Donald Trump's pre-election promises and also on his personal qualities. This man is strong, decisive, literally self-made, a pragmatic and successful businessman. The U.S. President-elect is a man with a new vision. He will have to clean the Augean stables which he inherited from his predecessors. He is expected to disregard the templates, to improve the situation in the United States and beyond,” Sergei Musiyenko said.
“We can expect possible adjustments in the U.S. position with regard to the situation in Ukraine and Syria. The whole world will benefit if the U.S. pursued a clear pragmatic policy. So will Belarus,” Sergei Musiyenko said.
“Donald Trump is a man of great energy, charisma. He is able to rally people around him. Winning the elections means getting the vote of confidence from the people. Donald Trump will use this vote of confidence in the interests of his country. He is able to accomplish a lot to address the host of problems accumulated within the country,” Sergei Musiyenko noted.
