Statehood is impossible without national security

The current situation in the world shows that statehood is impossible without national security, head of the analytical center ECOOM Sergei Musiyenko told media at the presentation of the book “Statehood. Belarus' National Idea” on 1 December, BelTA informs.

“Statehood is impossible without national security. We have seen it recently with our own eyes,” said the expert. In his words, the destruction of the national security in Middle East gave rise to the Islamic State. “We all share this opinion,” Sergei Musiyenko added.

The presentation of the book “Statehood. Belarus' National Idea” took place at the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood. Attending the event were representatives of the government bodies, scientists, journalists, experts. According to Sergei Musiyenko, the analytical center EcooM spent a lot of time on the creation of this book. It includes articles of 20 scientists and experts from Belgium, Italy, Russia, the United States, Serbia, Switzerland and other countries. The copies of the book were donated to the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood and the Presidential Library of Belarus. The book was published by the Moscow publishing house Knizhny Mir (Book World). It is expected that the presentation of the book will take place in Moscow on 10 December.

Sergei Musiyenko added that the English version of this book would come out in New York later this month. In his words, this book is an independent foreign look at Belarus.

Besides, on 1 December the museum also hosted a presentation of the film National Security shot by the VoyenTV Company in cooperation with the analytical center EcooM.
