Europe turned out to be unprepared for migrants' unpredictable behavior, Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Company of Belarus Gennady Davydko said during the TV show Club of Editors on the Belarus 1 TV channel on 17 January, BelTA has learned.
“Europe probably expected the migrants to be forever grateful for having been allowed in. They probably thought that the migrants would be cleaning streets, taking on low-prestige jobs, and so on. Unexpectedly, they came and started to instigate disorder and perpetrate violence, which took Europe by surprise,” Gennady Davydko noted.
Semyon Uralov, Chief Editor of the project Odnako. Eurasia, believes that EU countries should have instructed the incoming migrants on the norms of life and behavior. “And what they really did? They said: come, dear friends, and do whatever you want… This is not right, they should have explained everything to them. In fact, now there is a crisis of misunderstanding,” he added.
