Private investment in the restoration of historical heritage and village revival is of utmost importance, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, Belarus President’s aide in physical education, sport and tourism development Maksim Ryzhenkov said at the opening ceremony of a new historical estate and park complex Dukorski Estate in the village of Dukor, Pukhovichi District on 26 June, BelTA informs.
Maksim Ryzhenkov stressed that Belarus is rich in historical and cultural events. Unfortunately, the country lost a lot in the years of wars. Therefore, every step to restore the historical heritage is significant. “We should know our history and those who made it. That is why we need these initiatives when private business invests in the Belarusian history, projects such as Dukorski Estate,” he said.
Maksim Ryzhenkov views the initiative of Director General of the Pukhovichi Agroproduct Ivan Gumovsky to create the complex as important. “If every businessman did something like that for our history, it would help the future generations to know the history of the country. Creation of such facilities is an answer to the question of those Europeans and those foreign representatives who ask where we are from and what our Belarusian history and identity is. The major goal is to promote the popularization of the Belarusian culture and history,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said.
In turn, Chairman of the Pukhovichi District Executive Committee Fyodor Karalenya stressed that Dukorski Estate is also an example of wise land management and the restoration of the history of Belarusian villages.
The new estate and park complex Dukorski Estate has been set up in the village of Dukor, 30km from the Belarusian capital.
