The opinion of Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko inspires deep respect even if you disagree with it, Director General of the information agency Ukrinform Oleksandr Kharchenko said following the meeting of the Belarusian head of state with representatives of Ukrainian mass media, BelTA has learned.
According to Oleksandr Kharchenko, such meetings are extremely valuable because they offer an opportunity of a face-to-face interaction. “You can feel the charisma of a person which is impossible at a distance, on TV,” he said.
Oleksandr Kharchenko was impressed with amazing openness of the Belarusian leader and his “savory” manner to express his opinion. “We can even disagree with some of his judgments. But his understanding is so independent, profound, and full that it merits great respect even if you disagree with him,” he added.
