Bloggers need to exercise ethical self-censorship, one of the organizers of NeForum for Bloggers 2015, LiveJournal head marketing officer Ivan Kalyuzhny told reporters.
"Bloggers need to exercise ethical self-censorship. What you say on the Internet is akin to what you say in real life. Everyone should think about what they write,” said Ivan Kalyuzhny.
He noted that NeForum goes beyond politics. "I have been to Belarus for more than 20 times. I have friends here. Therefore, we wanted to show the tourist appeal of your country as well,” Ivan Kalyuzhny noted.
Minsk is hosting the fourth edition of NeForum for bloggers. It is the first time that Belarus has been chosen to host this event. Partaking in the forum are top bloggers of the Cyrillic segment of LiveJournal, Instagram, YouTube, and VK. The topic of this year’s event is New Opinion Leaders. NeForum 2015 has been organized by the Eurasian Communication Center and the blogging platform LiveJournal Russia.
