Good conditions have been created in Belarus for the development of high technologies and high-tech manufacturing, BelTA learned from Xiaobo Xu, Huawei's Regional PR Director, during the Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain on 27 February – 2 March.
Xiaobo Xu underlined that R&D efforts in the area of information technologies is a high priority for Huawei, which is intent on anticipating interests of consumers. Several R&D products are now part of the reality, including digital government, safe city and smart home technologies. “I believe we will even more effectively cooperate with Belarus in these areas. We will share experience and work out optimal solutions together,” he said.
The representative of the Chinese company also pointed out that Belarus' Hi-Tech Park is known all over the world and looks attractive for many internationally recognized companies. “The good base, the high technologies in use, and the country's unwavering intention to move forward represent some of the reasons why Huawei has established a research center in Minsk. The development of information and communication technologies in Belarus is highly ranked — 31st among 175 countries. I also hope that more companies specializing in science and technologies will emerge in Belarus later on. I hope they will implement cutting-edge projects, particularly high-tech and R&D ones,” noted Xiaobo Xu. He is convinced that Belarus can become an example of rapid development of information and communication technologies and can secure high results that will be noticeable at the international level.
