The current situation is favorable for a visit of Pope Francis to Belarus, Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev of the Roman Catholic Church in Belarus, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz told journalists on 22 March.
“For my part, I will do everything I can. The current climate is favorable for a visit of the Pope to Belarus,” Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz said.
He noted that a consent from Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia is needed for the Pope's visit since the Pontiff comes only with the consent of the majority church in the country.
