NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
It would be advisable to use consumer loans to support Belarusian manufacturers. Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich made the statement during the government conference held on 2 March, BelTA has learned. During the conference the central government, the central bank, the oblast administrations, and the Minsk city administration informed the head of state about economy performance in 2017 and the tasks meant to ensure sustainable economic growth.
Mikhail Myasnikovich spoke about the fulfillment of import substitution tasks. In his opinion, the rising volume of consumer loans, which are used to buy imported products, is one of the reasons for growing import.
The head of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament believes that it would be advisable to use consumer loans to support Belarusian manufacturers. In turn, Belarusian manufacturers would do well to increase the output of quality consumer goods, noted Mikhail Myasnikovich.
