Belarus and Russia will find common ground on all issues, Valery Voronetsky, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives, told BelTA.
The MP noted that Russia and Belarus have been strategic partners and will remain such. During the meeting in Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the commitment to the allied relations. Valery Voronetsky believes that the parties will find a good solution to all issues. “I am confident that we will common ground on a lot of topical issues that have been in the center of attention recently,” he said.
“The Russia-Belarus Union State is our shared legacy. Both the countries understand that our relations are of great value,” the MP noted.
Alexander Lukashenko is in Russia on a working visit. He held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two presidents discussed various issues of Belarus-Russia relations. After the official part the meeting with the participation of the government members in Krasnaya Polyana, the presidents hit ski slopes and continued the meeting in an informal atmosphere. Taking into account constructive Belarus-Russia cooperation in culture and humanities, the presidents will hold a meeting with the ministers supervising sport, education, and culture in the two countries on 15 February to discuss proposals to further cooperation in these areas.
