MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) – The national exposition Books of the Republic of Belarus at the 69th Frankfurt Book Fair is marking 500 years of the Belarusian book printing, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Information Ministry.
The Belarusian stand features publications about Francysk Skaryna and the 500th anniversary of book printing, produced by the publishing houses Mastatskaya Litaratura, Petrus Brovka Belorusskaya Encyclopedia Belarus, Zvyazda, Narodnaya Asveta.
The exposition includes about 1,000 books published in 2016-2017. Taking part in the fair are representatives of the Belarusian publishing houses Narodnaya Asveta, Adukatsya i Vykhavanne, Pachatkovaya Shkola, and the biggest book seller Belkniga.
The Frankfurter Buchmesse (Frankfurt Book Fair) is the most important international trade fair for content, the centre of the international media world and a major cultural event. The fair opened on 11 October. In 2017 France is the Guest of Honor at the forum. Every year the fair in Frankfurt am Main welcomes more than 7,000 exhibitors from 100 countries. The forum is visited by nearly 300,000 people, with more than 10,000 journalists and bloggers accredited.More about Headlines
