Voting on Election Day

8:00-20:00 is the time to cast votes for candidates vying for the House of Representatives on the main election day, 11 September at the polling stations where the voter is registered or where the voter is*.

Voting terms:

you have to be on the registered voters list,

you need a personal identification document.

You will be issued a ballot paper upon producing:

passport,

military service card for active-duty military personnel,

civil servant identification card,

pensioner identification card or an identification card for people with disabilities with a photo,

university student identification card,

temporary certificate issued by police to citizens, who have lost their passports,

driver's license.

To cast a vote, voters will have to mark or check the square box next to the name of the candidate the voter has decided to vote for.

If the voter marks or checks more than one box or fails to leave any marks in any of the boxes, the ballot will be deemed invalid.

*If due to poor health or any other respectful reason the voter cannot come to the local polling station on the main voting day, he or she can verbally or in written form request the relevant election commission to organize domiciliary voting. The request is to be submitted by 18:00 on 11 September 2016.
