Administrative center - Minsk, with a population of 1,992,700.
Area – 4,019,600 hectares, agricultural land – 1,842,000 hectares, including 1,349,800 hectares of arable land
Major industries: engineering, metallurgy, chemicals, footwear, clothing, furniture, agriculture, food and beverages, tourism.
