In a near-earth orbit

ISS: The crew of the 50/51st expedition is led by pilot-cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Oleg Novitsky. The Belarusian delivered a state flag of Belarus to the International Space Station.

The 50/51st expedition to the ISS left Earth on 17 November 2016.

Main tasks:

44 research experiments in various fields of science: medical biology, geophysics, biotechnologies and other ones; work with cargo spacecraft.

BKA-1 — the Belarusian satellite for the remote sensing of Earth.

Inserted into orbit on 22 July 2012.

Mission — satisfy the domestic demand of Belarus for space imagery.

Belintersat-1 — Belarus' first telecommunication satellite.

Inserted into orbit on 15 January 2016.

Mission — provide modern satellite communication services in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
