The Flame of the 2nd European Games will be lit at the Museum of Ara Pacis in Rome on 3 May. The symbol of the relay, an olive tree, will be presented during the event.
The torch will be taken to Mont Blanc where Belarus' flag will be hoisted. The torch will then travel across Europe, visiting Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
The Flame of the European Games will visit 55 locations in eight countries: Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Belarus.
The Flame of Peace will arrive in Belarus' Brest on 12 May.
The torch will be carried through more than 60 settlements of the country. The final destination of the Flame of Peace torch relay will be Dinamo Stadium in Minsk on 21 June.
The relay will take 50 days.
The torch has been developed by Belarusian designer Yulia Braichuk together with specialists of the Novogrudok Gas Equipment Plant. The torch is 1.7kg heavy and 81cm high. It is made of stainless steel.
The torchbearers will be 450 people, including outstanding athletes, famous figures of culture, science and art, public figures.
