71,000km — municipal roads.
In 2016 Belarusian enterprises built and rebuilt 151.8km of automobile roads and 168.1 running meters of bridges and overpasses.
Two trans-European transport corridors cross Belarus:
The motorway M1/E30 Brest – Minsk – the Russian Federation border;
its length in Belarus makes up 610.2km;
The motorway M8/E95 the Russian Federation border – Vitebsk – Gomel – the Ukrainian border;
its length in Belarus makes up 456.5km;
A branch of this corridor — Gomel – Minsk – Vilnius – Klaipeda – Kaliningrad
its length in Belarus makes up 468km.
Municipal roads connect 23,000 populated localities, including 199 cities and towns, about 1,400 agrotowns, 21,800 villages and rural communities and enable access to industrial sites, agricultural facilities, and other places.
