Belarusian president's approval rating

The approval rating of the incumbent Belarusian president (electoral rating, assessment of social and economic policies, decision-making) is 78.1%.

Candidate preferences:

Aleksandr Lukashenko – 72.3%

Other presidential candidates – less than 10% combined

Unsure – 10.9%

Reluctant to answer – 3.1%

Against all – 3.7%

Information resources seen by respondents as most reliable:

Television - 65.4%

Online media - 43.2%

Social setting (friends, family) – 25.7%.

Youth* mostly trust:

Online media – 62.2%

Television – 25.8%

Social setting – 28.5%

Overall social landscape of the election campaign:

Optimism (62.8%)

Concern and uncertainty about the future (17.2%)

Indifference and aloofness (5.5%).

89.5% of Belarusians are planning to take part in the voting.

61.4% of Belarusian see early voting favorably.

The survey was held by telephone interviewers on 23-27 July. As many as 1,879 people took part in the survey with a margin of error of +/- 2.5-4%.
