NUCLEAR POWER IN BELARUS AND WORLDWIDE
Belarus' mechanical engineering industry comprises over 265 large and medium companies that employ 185,000 people.
Industrial output index in January-August 2017*:
means of transport and equipment — 100%;
electric equipment — 104.4%;
computers, electronics, optical instruments — 101%;
machines and equipment outside the other categories — 123%.
Since early 2017 every day Belarus has been making:
haul trucks – 2,
frontal loaders – 2.4,
tractors — 108.6,
street sweepers — 42.4,
trucks — 14.8,
off-road dump trucks — 5.3,
trolleybuses – 0.3.
In January-July 2017 Belarusian mechanical engineering products were sold to 126 countries. In the period the export of mechanical engineering products rose by 30% to $2.931 billion.
