Russia is Belarus' main trading partner. In 2020, Belarus-Russia merchandise trade soared almost 4.5 times over 1996.

In 2020 the merchandise trade totaled $29.5 billion.

In 2020, Russia accounted for 45.2% of Belarus' total merchandise export, or $13.1 billion.

Russia accounted for 50.2% of Belarus' total merchandise import, or $16.4 billion.

In 2020 Belarus' major exports:

milk and dairy products - $2,001.1 million

meat and meat by-products - $525.2 million

trucks - $342.5 million

tractors and truck tractors - $317.3 million

furniture, including medical furniture - $281.6 million.

Belarus' major imports:

crude oil, including gas condensate - $3441 million

natural gas - $2,453.3 million

ferrous metals and related products - $1,674.5 million

cars - $566.1 million

spare parts and accessories for vehicles and tractors - $128.6 million.
