One month has passed since the decree to extend the period of visa-free stay of foreign nationals in Belarus up to 30 days came into force. The State Border Committee has provided the information on Belarus' most frequent visitors.
Belarus' travel trends from 27 July to 26 August 2018:
Germany - 1,658 (up 35.4%*)
United States - 969 (up 48.2%)
Italy - 946 (up 52.6%)
United Kingdom - 892 (up 49.7%)
Poland - 792 (up 13%)
France - 589 (up 53.4%)
Netherlands - 530 (up 120.8%)
Spain - 383 (up 101.6%)
Latvia - 377 (up 60.4%)
Finland - 314 (up 98.7%).
Citizens of 74 states can visit Belarus without a visa for 30 days (including arrival and departure days).
Foreign nationals must fly in and out of Minsk National Airport (the visa waiver does not apply to persons flying in Minsk and out from/to Russia).
A visitor must carry:
- a valid passport;
- medical insurance in the amount of at least €10,000 (can be purchased on site); - assets equivalent to at least two base amounts for each day of stay (one base amount equals Br24.5).
