Belarus is ranked 37th out of 190 economies covered in the World Bank's Doing Business 2019 report, going one point up from the previous report.

Belarus' standings:

Registering Property – 5th (unchanged)

Getting Electricity – 20th (+ 5 points)

Trading Across Borders – 25th (+ 5 points)

Starting a Business – 29th (+1)

Enforcing contracts – 29th (- 5)

Dealing with Construction Permits – 46th (-24)

Protecting Minority Investors – 51st (-11)

Resolving Insolvency – 72nd (-4)

Getting Credit – 85th (+5)

Paying Taxes – 99th (-3)

As for the former Soviet Union countries, Georgia is ranked 6th, Lithuania 14th, Estonia 16th, Latvia 19th, and Azerbaijan 25th.

New Zealand tops the World Bank's Doing Business 2019 and is followed by Singapore, Denmark, Hong Kong (China), South Korea.
