Belarus' GDP in January-August

In January-August 2019 Belarus' Gross Domestic Product amounted to Br83.9 billion (up by 1.1% year-on-year).

Contribution of major industries to the GDP:

Agriculture, forestry, fishery – Br4,205.5 million (+2.6% year-on-year);

Mining industry - Br639.4 million (+0.8%);

Processing industry – Br18,132.5 million (+0.7%);

Production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water, conditioned air – Br2,613.1 million (-0.8%);

Water supply; waste collection, processing and disposal; pollution cleanup - Br624 million (+1.1%);

Construction – Br4,702.2 million (+2.8%);

Wholesale and retail, repair of cars and motorcycles – Br7,980.6 million (+1%);

Transport, warehousing, postal and courier services – Br4,957.9 million (-0.9%);

Information and communications - Br5,180.6 million (+9%).

The GDP dynamics by region:

Brest Oblast – 102%*

Vitebsk Oblast – 98.6%

Gomel Oblast – 100.5%

Grodno Oblast – 99.8%

Minsk Oblast – 105.5%

Mogilev Oblast – 100%

Minsk – 100.9%
