Russian youth orchestra in Vitebsk

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra gave a concert of symphonic music at the Vitebsk Oblast Philharmonic on 14 October. That was the first concert of the orchestra in Belarus. Musicians of the orchestra work with world-class conductors. In Vitebsk, the orchestra performed under the baton of Aleksandr Anisimov, the artistic director and chief conductor of the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Belarus. The program included pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Igor Stravinsky.

The Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra brings together 100 young musicians from all over Russia. One of the main aims of the orchestra is to introduce young people to classical music. The orchestra is scheduled to perform in Minsk on 16 September.
